Domain groups and notes

With many domains it's handy to group them (by customer, by project, "to renew"…) and write a note on each. Groups and notes are yours: only you can see them. If you work in someone else's account, or a colleague works in yours, each person has their own.

Everything happens in the Domains list, without opening the domain.

Groups

In the Group column click the pencil next to the domain (or the domain's ⋮ menu → Group):

  • click a group to assign it (each domain has one);
  • type in Search or create a group: the list shows only the groups containing that text; click Add (or press Enter) to assign that group: if it doesn't exist it is created and assigned right away (up to 50 characters);
  • No group removes the group from the domain;
  • the bin next to a group deletes it: it is removed from all your domains.

Filter by group

Click the filter icon next to Group, at the top of the column, and pick a group (with many groups there's a search at the top): the list shows only its domains. No group shows the ones without a group, All groups removes the filter.

Notes

Click the note icon (the speech bubble next to the domain's ⋮ menu) or ⋮ menu → Note, write what you need (up to 2000 characters) and save. The icon turns coloured and shows the note when you hover over it. To remove it, empty the text and save.

Groups and notes don't change anything about the domain: read-only users can use them too.

Hosting and contacts

The Hosting and Contacts lists work the same way: Group column with the pencil and the filter, note from the icon next to the ⋮ menu, Group and Note items in the ⋮ menu. Each list has its own groups: domain groups don't show up among hosting or contacts.
