WHOIS is the public list of domain owners. With WHOIS privacy your personal details are not shown: anonymous details appear instead. The service is free.
Enable it
- Open Domains, click the domain name and then the WHOIS privacy tab.
- Click Enable privacy. To remove it, Disable privacy.
The registry usually updates WHOIS within a few minutes.
Extensions without privacy
Some extensions don't offer it, or already hide individuals' details on their own (for example .it). In that case the tab says "This extension does not support WHOIS privacy".
