Theft protection (transfer lock) stops the domain from being transferred to another provider without your consent. Keep it on at all times, except when you want to transfer the domain.
Turn it on or off
- Open Domains, click the domain name and then the Theft protection tab.
- Click Enable lock or Remove lock. Removing the lock asks for confirmation.
Without the lock, anyone with the transfer code can move the domain: turn the lock back on as soon as you're done.
Some extensions don't support the lock: the tab says "This extension does not support transfer lock".
