For SiteLyra email to work, the domain's DNS must contain these records.
If DNS is with us
This is the normal case: the records are already there. If you removed or changed them, add them back from Domains → domain name → Manage DNS → ⋮ menu → Apply template → SiteLyra email → Add the records (see DNS templates).
If DNS is managed elsewhere
Add these records with whoever manages the domain's DNS (in the "Name" column, @ is the domain itself):
| Type | Name | Value | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| MX | @ | mx.sitelyra.it | 10 |
| MX | @ | fallbackmx.sitelyra.it | 20 |
| TXT | @ | v=spf1 mx include:spf.sitelyra.it ~all | |
| CNAME | posta._domainkey | posta._domainkey.sitelyra.it | |
| TXT | _dmarc | v=DMARC1; p=none; |
- MX: tell which server receives the domain's email. Remove any MX records from a previous provider.
- SPF (TXT): says which servers may send email for the domain. You need only one: if there is already one, add
include:spf.sitelyra.itto it. - DKIM (CNAME): signs outgoing messages, so they don't end up in spam.
- DMARC (TXT): tells recipients what to do with messages that fail SPF and DKIM.
DNS changes can take from a few minutes to a few hours to spread.
