DNS records say where your website is (A, AAAA, CNAME), where email is delivered (MX), and hold verifications and services (TXT, SRV, CAA…). In the dashboard: Domains → domain name → Manage DNS.
The list
- At the top of the list you filter records by type (All, A, MX, TXT…).
- Records marked System belong to our nameservers: the domain needs them and they cannot be edited.
- The SOA row holds the zone settings (see SOA).
Add a record
- Click New record.
- Choose the Type: the fields change accordingly.
- Name: the part before the domain (e.g.
www,shop), or empty for the domain itself (@). - TTL: how long other servers remember the record. Keep the suggested value if you're not sure.
- Fill in the value (IP address, name, text…) and click Add record.
If the DNS server rejects the record, the reason is shown below the message: fix it and try again.
Edit and delete
Click the record or use the ⋮ menu: Edit opens the same fields, Delete asks for confirmation.
Changes apply immediately on our servers; across the rest of the internet they arrive within the record's TTL (usually from a few minutes to a few hours).
Other actions
From the ⋮ menu next to New record:
- Apply template: adds the records for a service in one go (see DNS templates);
- Export (zone file): downloads all records in one file, useful as a copy or to move them elsewhere.
